The most recent of the notorious worm outbreaks so far ... Conficker has a detectable finger print after all, researchers say. For the last couple of weeks researchers and network-scanning companies scrambled to add a technique for detecting Conficker-infected computers, after two members of the Honeynet Project discovered a way to detect machines compromised with the widespread worm. |

Knocking down the best and well configured web services only takes the simplest attacks. By far Spamming has to be the most irritating attack out there, not because of its success rate, but because it's such a no-brainer and non-elite type of disruption. Anybody with open arms is a target these days as was Twitter when a flood of spam infiltrated Twitter, slowing down the microblogging community. F-Secure has discovered a fake Twitter account that tricks users into a Google scam, by promising a free Range Rover. |
